The following framework diagram is another way to convey the PPS framework. It has two parts.

The four "SPAA" questions, represented by the four icons at the top of the diagram, determine whether the PPSA applies to the transaction under consideration, and so whether the “PPSA switch” is “on” or not.

The PPS framework diagram is enclosed in a frame to signify that the PPSA framework is enclosed within.

The above nine elements of the PPS framework are discussed one-by-one, in Part 2: The PPS Framework of this book (Chapters 5 - 14).

In Part 3: A Long Run Through (Chapters 15 - 29) each of the key PPSA issues, and the PPSA framework, are discussed in more detail.
